His extensive field experience gives him a unique perspective on projects with limited real estate, minimal downtime, and challenging schedules. Bob’s mechanical and process background includes the areas of piping stress analysis, P&ID development, ASME vessel design, process piping design HazOp studies, and front-end engineering.
Bob is a graduate of the University of Toledo and is active on local public school development communities. Bob and his wife have three children and one grandchild.
Dave Steer | Vice President
Dave is a co-founder of LeanTrak, Inc. Dave has more than 30 years of experience managing projects and multi-year/multi-project programs for the energy industry.
Dave has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry segment, primarily in cross-country pipeline systems and refining. Dave’s broad range of experience includes conceptual development and estimating though field commissioning.
Dave’s signature strengths include electrical power distribution, development of executable project scopes and costs, and planning and managing the total project life cycle for both new and retrofit type projects. Dave has significant on-site field experience in all areas of project execution, commissioning, and start-ups. This gives Dave the ability to review, understand, and correct constructability issues prior to the construction phase of a project.
Dave is married and has two daughters. He enjoys being outdoors and loves to play golf.
Brian is a graduate of The University of Toledo with a degree in Civil Engineering, and is a registered PE.
He has worked on projects in various industries, including oil refineries, pumping stations and pipelines, chemical, glass facilities, and warehouses.
His involvement is from concept to construction to as-built conditions. Brian is responsible for managing projects, as well as performing structural calculations, interfacing with clients and other engineering firms, obtaining field data, directing engineers and designers, developing scopes of work and cost estimates, and preparing project packages.
Structural/civil design includes foundations for buildings and equipment, pre-engineered building specifications and foundations, mechanical and electrical equipment support structures, OSHA compliant surveys and platform designs, and chemical storage tanks and foundations.
Instrumentation and Controls
Jeff is a graduate of the University of Toledo and has a significant and varied background in process controls and instrumentation. He has worked on projects in a wide range of industries, including energy, petroleum, glass manufacturing, water treatment, and wastewater. His experience covers field instrumentation, controls hardware and software, including programming, commissioning, and start-up activities.
Jeff is responsible for leading controls and instrumentation projects at LeanTrak. His engineering and design experience includes developing control system architecture, generation of project scopes, equipment specifications, and creation of drawing packages. Projects have included PLC, Graphic/HMI and DCS hardware equipment and software selection, design and programming. His field experience makes him a strong asset to clients during the commissioning and start-up of projects, a critical point to bring a project to a successful conclusion.
Jeff is a 30 year member of the International Society of Automation (ISA) local chapter. He and his wife have two teenage children.
