LeanTrak “Raises the Bar” in Electrical Safety
September 7, 2017

LeanTrak has been performing electrical power studies and completing arc flash assessments since its inception in 2003.

In 2011, LeanTrak completed its first power study/arc flash assessment for one of its Fortune 500 clients, Enterprise Products (ranked #122). By 2015, LeanTrak had performed three additional power studies and has since completed nine additional power studies/arc flash assessments in five states. LeanTrak has three power studies/arc flash assessments currently in progress.

Through continuous improvement practices, recent client review comments have been extremely minor and have been initiated with “Another really good job on this one” statement from Enterprise Products’ subject matter expert.

LeanTrak is currently performing these electrical studies with two of its clients and has proposals pending with a third.

$4.5MM Electrical Upgrade Project Construction Underway
October 1, 2016

LeanTrak completed the engineering and design phase of a $4.5MM electrical upgrade project the end of August, 2016. The project included a complete change-out of the electrical power and control systems, as well as upgrading the 3500HP motor control to a variable frequency drive. The new medium voltage switchgear and MCC are arc resistant 2B rated, the first of its kind for our client. Civil construction is finishing this week and the electrical construction is commencing. LeanTrak is providing logistics coordination for receipt and setting of the 64’ long, 15’ wide electrical building planned for mid-October. The delivery vehicle is 154’ long by 18’ wide, transversing three states with police escorts. The crane is a Liebherr LTM 1500 with a 155’ guyed boom and 364,000 pound counterweight. Construction is scheduled through mid-November with final commissioning planned for late November. LeanTrak will continue to provide on-site technical services through the construction, commissioning, and start-up phases of the project.

Refinery Pump Seal Upgrade Project
September 14, 2016

LeanTrak has completed engineering and design on a $1.5MM pump seal upgrade project for a Midwest oil refinery. Several different API seal plans were incorporated into the project based on each pump’s process duty. Seal fail instrumentation was designed with alarm indication back to each unit’s control building. Construction is nearing completion with all schedule milestones successfully met. LeanTrak engineers and designers were an integral part of the refinery team which included capital and maintenance engineering, reliability and rotating equipment engineers, operations, and construction stakeholders.

Safety Programs
September 11, 2015

LeanTrak provides cost-effective, industry compliant written safety programs for contractors. Contractors serving the oil and gas industries need to be pre-certified by one or more national contractor certification companies. The oil and gas industry uses ISNetworld, PEC Safety, and PICS as their safety requirement auditors. LeanTrak belongs to all three organizations and has provided safety manual assistance for contractors whose clients require compliance with any of the three. We have written or modified plans for more than 100 contractors over the past several years. Contractors have a 100% success rate in attaining approval of their safety programs when using LeanTrak for support and guidance. Contact Gloria Messner for additional information on our services.
